5 Video Games With the Best Design

We spend so much time on our computers working, talking to friends, watching sports and even betting online. Thanks to our computers we can complete our Betway Registration and enjoy great bonuses. But one of our favorite past time activities is playing video games and in the past couple of years, these games have become more and more realistic. Ever since The Museum of Modern Art included video games in their collection, there has been a lot of debate over whether video games should be considered art or not. However, looking at these five video games, it is completely obvious that these graphics are pure art.

Assassin’s Creed

One of the most popular video games in the world, Assassin’s Creed, is also known as one of the most beautifully designed ones. The best detail has to be the hood that is always present regardless of the hero you are playing. It works perfectly because it can be incorporated into the fashion of ancient times as well as the modern look. It connects all the games in the franchise so that you always get that familiar feeling when starting a new one. The hood resembles the way the whole game is designed – using something so familiar to get you transported to other, amazing worlds.

Halo

One of the features of Halo that is very familiar to anyone who has ever played the game is the bright green suit that Master Chief wears, or more precisely, the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Suit. It is one of the best parts of the game design as it shows the essence of the Halo world – cold and strong, but also colorful and dreamy. At first, the game developers did not take design into account too much; however, it was this green armor that sparked the creativity which made the game what it is today.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

As the number of modern video games gets bigger day by day, it is sometimes difficult to differentiate them from one another. Therefore it is always amazing when you find a game that has such a unique style that you can recognize instantly, as well as all of the features of a modern, futuristic video game. One of its best details is the Chinese island of Hengsha which has a city built on two levels – the upper one for the rich and the lower one for the poor. This idea is grounded in history and modern times while being futuristic at the same time.

Shadow of the Colossus

This game has something that many of today’s video games lack in their design – minimalism. The game designers here showed how you can create an amazingly atmospheric and otherworldy game with a very minimalistic style. The most impressive part of the design are the Colossi – the monsters you have to destroy. What is so amazing about them is that they are so dangerous-looking as well as sympathetic, which is best seen in their almost ‘loving’ eyes.

Metal Gear Solid

One of the biggest characteristics of games today are robots and usually, game designers try to make them as big and as chunky as possible. One the other hand, Metal Gear Solid showed us how elegant and organic style can work wonderfully with man-made, metal robots. Metal Gear RAY is one of the best examples of this, as the illustrator Yoji Shinkawa managed to create a beautiful, as well as realistic image.
